Red Tricycle: Congratulations on being voted “Most Awesome” by your community! What do you think your customers value most about your business?
Judy Christianson: I think that our customers recognize and value that our practice’s primary goal is to give each child the absolute best dental experience possible. The entire office is designed to make dentistry fun by providing children with an environment that they’ll be excited about coming back to again and again. We even have a movie theater and arcade room!
RT: Any advice for new business owners just getting started?
JC: Be very organized and believe in yourself! Owning your own business is a lot of work but the rewards are so great. The journey will be much like a roller coaster. Hang on tight and enjoy the ride!
RT: Can you give us one tip for balancing entrepreneurship with parenthood?
JC: When you’re an entrepreneur, your job doesn’t end at 5:00. The list of things that need to be done is never ending. You have to train yourself to be satisfied with what you’ve accomplished that day, put it out of your mind and go enjoy your kids! The list will be waiting for you tomorrow.
RT: What is your proudest moment as a business owner or parent?
JC: My proudest moment as a business owner has been winning this 2013 Red Tricycle “Totally Awesome” award. The amount of support we received from the public was overwhelming and it really reinforced that our patients recognize all of the efforts we’ve done to make our practice great!
